The Las Vegas Raiders and New York Jets will offer many great match-ups this Sunday night under the lights in Prime Time on Sunday Night Football in Allegiant Stadium.

Raiders' wide receiver Davante Adams is going head to head with Jets cornerback Ahmad "Sauce" Gardner. This will be the first match-up between the two talented players.

Adams still leads the Raiders' expansive receiver room with 51 receptions for 573 yards.

This Sunday will also be one of Gardiner's toughest tasks, going up against Adams, one of the best wide receivers the NFL.

Gardner has elevated himself as one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL, winning the AP Defensive Rookie of the Year and being named a First Team All-Pro in 2022. Through seven games this season, Gardner has five pass deflections, a forced fumble and an 86.7 coverage grade from Pro Football Focus.

Interim Coach Antonio Pierce of the Raiders shared his thoughts on Gardner with the media in a press conference earlier this week.

"Sauce Gardner is a problem," Pierce said. "He's a very talented individual. He has a lot of confidence, swag, ball-hawking. He creates opportunities for his defense with his length. He plays to the strength of the system as well. He knows where his help is. He's a smart football player, a really good football player. He's very talented. It's going to be fun to watch whoever he's matched up on and just watch how our guys compete against them."

Raiders cornerback Marcus Peters will go head-to-head with Jets' wide receiver Garrett Wilson. It is a battle between an experienced veteran and a young and upcoming superstar.

The Silver and Black have put together a top-10 defense in passes defended and forced eight interceptions. Peters leads the team with five pass deflections, along with an interception that ended up being a pick-six touchdown that covered 75 yards against the Detroit Lions.

Wilson led the Jets' offense in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns in his rookie season and continues to lead those categories this season. He is coming off an AP Offensive Rookie of the Year award.

Raiders Defensive Coordinator Patrick Graham had the chance to speak on Wilson in a press conference earlier this week.

"He has a combination of speed, quickness and the ability to catch the ball from all different types of angles," Graham said. "His catch radius is pretty dynamic, in my opinion, and he presents a lot of challenges. They do a good job of moving him around and finding ways to give him the ball."

These match-ups will surely be exciting to watch as the Raiders look to secure a victory over the Jets on Sunday night at Allegiant Stadium.

The Silver and Black will remain at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas to take on the New York Jets on Sunday, Nov. 12, at 8:20 p.m. EST/5:20 p.m. PST.
