The Las Vegas Raiders brought in several new faces at wide receiver during free agency and the 2023 NFL Draft.

For a quarterback like Jimmy Garoppolo, having a lot of new players to get in sync with can be challenging. Thankfully for him and for Coach Josh McDaniels, there are already a few very talented wide receivers in the room who can make life easier for the Raiders.

Davante Adams is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL, and Hunter Renfrow has one of the surest set of hands in the league as well.

Those two should have no issue producing with someone new throwing them the ball. Beyond that, six of the Raiders’ nine wide receiver acquisitions were brought in this offseason.

At least one of these new receivers will form a good connection with Garoppolo, so today let’s take a closer look at each of them and see which have a chance to separate themselves.

Jakobi Meyers is one of the likeliest candidates, as he previously played under McDaniels and can work in the short field, so Garoppolo can drop it off to him underneath and Meyers can do the rest.

Meyers is a crafty route runner with sure hands, and if he is catching everything Garoppolo is throwing at him, it will result in more targets coming his way.

Keelan Cole is a player who had solid seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars before his time in New York with the Jets, and while he didn’t catch many passes as a Raider last season, could carve out a bigger role for himself if he’s healthy.

Cole caught 159 passes for 2,242 yards and 12 touchdowns in four seasons with the Jaguars and was one of the more underrated receivers in the league. Cole is a player who can stretch the field for the Raiders and add another dynamic element to their offense.

The Raiders selected Tre Tucker with the 100th overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft, an electric athlete with blazing speed. Veteran quarterbacks like Garoppolo don’t often target rookies over other veterans, but Tucker could separate himself with his speed and yards after the catch ability.

The Raiders have several new wide receivers who need to gel in the offense with the team’s new quarterback, but they have enough options that can quickly form a connection.

The Raiders' offseason workout schedule is as follows:

OTA Offseason workouts: June 12-15

Mandatory Minicamp: June 6-8
