The Las Vegas Raiders are coming off a record-setting performance in a 63-21 thrashing of the Los Angeles Chargers.

The 63 points are a Raiders franchise record, which is considerably impressive, considering they did not score a point in their previous game against the Minnesota Vikings.

The Raiders shined defensively in both games, but star defensive end Maxx Crosby had a particularly notable performance in the Vikings game. His second-quarter sack of Josh Dobbs was the 50th of his career, making him the fifth player in franchise history to reach that milestone.

Crosby described that sack on the most recent episode of his podcast, The Rush with Maxx Crosby.

“When it happened, it honestly wasn’t in my mind,” Crosby said. “My mind was in a whole different place. I was ultra-amped and hyped, but we had a timeout, and we’re standing there, and I looked up at the jumbotron. They had the big 50, and they put up a stat that said: ‘First Raider to ever have 50 sacks in his first five seasons,’ and I was standing there next to Nate Hobbs, and Hobbs is my boy. That’s my brother. He’s sitting there, and he looks up, and he’s like: ‘Boy, you’re cold.’ I was like: ‘I appreciate you, bro.’ We just dapped it up, and it was a cool moment. Honestly, it’s special. It’s obviously a big deal, but we have a lot of work to do. So, it’s definitely a good start for sure.”

Crosby also mentioned that he appreciated the compliments from his teammates about the milestone.

“Your peers, your teammates, players around the league, coaches around the league, your own coaches, at the end of the day, people have their opinions, the media opinions and things like that, which we respect to a certain degree,” Crosby said. “But when it’s your brothers, guys who are going to war out there with you, that’s the ultimate respect.”

Crosby did not have much impact on the Chargers' game, but so many other Raiders defenders were contributing that he had the opportunity to rest his ailing knee. Crosby’s gravity allowed Malcolm Koonce to have an outstanding game.

The Silver and Black will return to action versus their AFC West rivals, the Kansas City Chiefs, on Christmas Day in Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. Don't miss it on Monday, December 25, at 1 p.m. EST/10 a.m. PST.
