Raiders Inflicted by Numerous Injuries in Loss to Lions

In this story:
As if the Las Vegas Raiders' 26-14 loss to the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football was not enough for the team to cope with on its way back home, the Raiders also have four more players to be examined due to injuries this week.
The first to go down in Monday night's game was rookie defensive end Tyree Wilson, who sustaine a groin injury in the first half. Fortunately for the Raiders, he did return in the second half.
Wilson, the seventh overall pick of the 2023 NFL Draft, could not practice with the Raiders for much of the offseason, as he was still restricted by a foot injury he suffered in his final college season.
He was activated from the non-football injury list in mid-August.
The next Raider to suffer an injury in Monday's game was linebacker Luke Masterson, who was ruled out because of a concussion.
Masterson started the game instead of injured Raiders linebacker Divine Deablo, who was been ruled out ahead of the game due to an ankle injury.
Then came an injury to Raiders fullback Jakob Johnson, who went down on a Las Vegas punt early in the third quarter.
Johnson would also be ruled out because of a concussion.
Raiders cornerback Marcus Peters left the game for a while in the third quarter but was back for the final quarter contest.
Peters had been dealing with a back injury all week. He did not participate in Thursday's practice and was limited on Friday and Saturday.
Lastly, Raiders offensive tackle Thayer Munford Jr. left the game due to a shoulder stinger.
The second-year Raider has played in every game since Las Vegas selected him in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He made his fourth start of the season in Monday's game.
Las Vegas had 10 players on its injury report for Week 8.
The Silver and Black will return to Allegiant Stadium to take on the New York Giants on Sunday, Nov. 5, at 4:25 p.m. EST/1:25 p.m. PST.
