Raiders Look to Extend All-Time Series Lead Against Lions

The Las Vegas Raiders shift their focus to the Detroit Lions for their second Monday Night Football game of the season.

The Raiders are 3-4 this season after suffering a 30-12 loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday at Solider Field in Chicago.

The Lions are 5-2 this season, with losses to the Seattle Seahawks and a Week 7, 38-6 defeat to the Baltimore Ravens.

With a more extended week ahead for rest and preparation, the Raiders look to bounce back against the Lions in Ford Field on Monday night. This will be the first time since 2015 the Raiders will play against the Lions at Ford Field in Detroit.

The Raiders lead the all-time series, 7-6, over the Lions, so this will be the 14th game between the teams, dating to the 1970 NFL regular season.

These teams last met during the 2019 NFL regular season, when the Oakland Raiders won, 31-24, over the Lions.

Raiders star running back Josh Jacobs had a phenomenal performance against the Lions the last time these two teams played.

In his rookie season at the time, Jacobs finished the game with 120 yards rushing on 28 carries and scored two touchdowns against the Lions.

This Monday Night Game will be Jacobs's second time playing against the Lions.

This Raiders will play an NFC North team for the third time this season when they meet the Lions. The Raiders have a victory over the Green Bay Packers and a loss to the Bears so far and still have the Minnesota Vikings to play later in the season.

The Silver and Black look to extend the all-time series to 8-6 over the Lions on Monday night and go to 4-4 and .500 on the season.
