Raiders Sign FA Wide Receiver Isaiah Zuber

The Las Vegas Raiders are adding more depth to their talented wide receiver room.

The Raiders announced on Tuesday, Aug. 15, the free agent signing of wide receiver Isaiah Zuber.

Zuber is already familiar with the Raiders after spending a short stint on the Raiders practice squad during the 2022 NFL season. He has also been on other teams' practice squads, including the San Francisco 49ers, the Cleveland Browns, and the New York Jets. He is entering his third season as a wide receiver in the NFL.

Zuber started his NFL career with the New England Patriots and signed with them as an Undrafted Free Agent before the start of the 2020 NFL season. During his time with the Patriots, he appeared in four career games, making two receptions for 29 yards and two rushing attempts for 21 yards.

Zuber, a Decatur, Ga., native, spent three seasons at Kansas State and played 38 games with the Wildcats. He finished with 127 receptions for 1,321 yards and 11 touchdowns. His total receiving yards and touchdowns are in the top 10 of Kansas State football history. Zuber transferred to Mississippi State for his senior year.

During his senior year and final college football season with the Bulldogs, he appeared in 13 games with three starts. He caught 14 passes for 211 yards and two touchdowns.

With only a few more weeks of training camp and two more Raiders preseason games left, it will be interesting to see if Zuber can make the final 53-man roster by the start of the 2023-24 NFL season.

The Silver and Black return to preseason action when they play the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 19, at 9 p.m. EDT/6 p.m. PDT.
