Raiders Opponent: Three Lions to Watch For

In this story:
The Las Vegas Raiders will look to get back into the win column against the Detroit Lions tomorrow in a Monday Night Football game at Ford Field in Detroit.
The Lions have one of the most complete rosters in the NFL on both sides of the ball, and that has led to a 5-2 record and convincing victories in each of those five games.
The Raiders are coming from a loss that dropped them to 3-4, so they will look to win and bring their record back to .500.
The Lions have lots of top-heavy talent on their roster, but they also have quality depth that has helped them win games this season. Let’s take a closer look at three players on the Lions who the Raiders must watch for.
Linebacker Jack Campbell -- Campbell has struggled this season, but the 2023 NFL Draft first-round selection has a rare blend of athleticism and football IQ.
The rookie out of Iowa has a 44.3 overall Pro Football Focus grade, allowing 16 receptions on 20 targets for 197 yards and two touchdowns in coverage.
However, the talent is evident, and just because Campbell hasn’t played well early does not mean the Raiders should overlook the impact he could have on the game.
Defensive End John Cominsky -- Since he joined the Lions, John Cominsky has been an impactful depth piece for Detroit’s pass rush.
Cominsky has 12 total tackles, one tackle for a loss and a sack this season. He has also produced 20 total pressures, according to PFF. The 6-foot-5, 285-pound Cominsky possesses excellent athleticism and can pass rush on the interior or the edge.
The Raiders must account for the Lions’ pass rush, and Cominsky should be high on the list of priorities.
Wide Receiver Josh Reynolds -- The Lions have an elite passing attack, and Josh Reynolds has enjoyed a career resurgence in Detroit.
The veteran wide receiver has caught 21 passes for 384 yards and three touchdowns this season. The 6-foot-3, 194-pound Reynolds has always been one of quarterback Jared Goff’s favorite targets, dating to their days with the Los Angeles Rams.
Reynolds is one of the best depth receivers in the league, and the Raiders must know where he is on the field, or he will find himself open and producing in the passing game.
The Silver and Black will stay on the road to take on the Detroit Lions on Monday night, Oct. 30, at 8:15 p.m. EDT/5:15 p.m. PDT.
