Could Rams Coach Zac Robinson Follow Raheem Morris to Falcons?

Los Angeles Rams quarterbacks coach Zac Robinson has been a popular candidate for open offensive coordinator positions. And now, he has been connected to Atlanta.

Suddenly, Los Angeles Rams quarterbacks coach Zac Robinson is a very popular man.

According to reports from James Palmer of NFL Network, Robinson could be a name to watch with the Atlanta Falcons.

The Falcons, of course, just hired Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris as their new head coach, replacing the fired Arthur Smith.

With their new head coach now in place, the Falcons can begin to sort out their new staff, with the offensive coordinator at the front of the list.

Should the Falcons elect to go with Robinson, he will have plenty of talent to work with, with young talents like Bijan Robinson, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts.

The Falcons currently have questions at quarterback following the benching of Desmond Ridder, and could be in the market for a replacement in this year's NFL Draft - something Robinson would be a tremendous asset in helping to find and develop.

Robinson, 37, began his coaching career with the Rams as an assistant quarterbacks coach in 2019 after quarterbacks coach Zac Taylor left to become coach of the Cincinnati Bengals.

He has changed positions quite a lot throughout his time with the Rams, becoming an assistant wide receivers coach in 2020, then going back to assistant quarterbacks coach in 2021 and finally becoming quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator in 2022.

As a player, Robinson was a 2010 seventh-round pick out of Oklahoma State by the New England Patriots. He spent time with four separate teams over his four-year playing career but never saw any playing time in the regular season.

Robinson is one of a few Rams assistants to get looks for other jobs this offseason.  Morris received several interview requests from teams with head-coaching vacancies before he joined the Falcons, while defensive line coach Eric Henderson accepted a co-defensive coordinator job with the USC Trojans.
