Rams WATCH: Rookies Fail Trivia Quiz on 'Mean Girls' & *NSYNC

The 2023 Rams rookie class, having failed this trivia contest, will not be singing from the album "*NSYNC's Greatest Hits'' (assuming there is such a thing.) Nor will they be quoting quips from the movie "Mean Girls'' (though they are missing something there.)

This is a kinder and gentler NFL, especially for rookies, a time during which "hazing'' is out ... and good-natured silliness is in.

When the Los Angeles Rams get to training camp as they prep for their tough 2023 NFL schedule, we will assume they will continue the NFL tradition of new kids standing up in the dining room to sing for their supper - college fight songs being a traditional fave.

One thing seems for certain: The 2023 Rams rookie class will not be singing from the album "*NSYNC's Greatest Hits'' (assuming there is such a thing.) Nor will they be quoting quips from the movie "Mean Girls'' (though they are missing something there.)

How do we come to these conclusions? Because the Rams media department recently released videos of the new guys trying to answer questions, or even identify players in the worlds of the pop group *NSYNC, which keyed by Justin Timberlake was wildly popular in the late 1990's and early 2000's, and “Mean Girls,'' the 2004 hit written by Tina Fay and starring Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams.

Did Stetson Bennett, Zach Evans, Byron Young and Warren McClendon have a clue? Not really. Should we expect them to have a clue?

Given the fact that most 2023 NFL rookies weren't even around yet when Lindsay Lohan mattered, we suppose not. Get the playbook (and the school song) right, and all will be forgiven.
