Sunday Morning Joe: The Steelers' season isn't saved yet

There's still a long road ahead for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Beating Cincinnati was a start to a new year, but with playoff chances still low, each week is another opportunity to get the wheels back on the track. Right now, this team's season is still derailed.

The Baltimore Ravens walk into Heinz Field 2-2, struggling to find success against a team with a winning record. After being crowned the early champions of the division, Baltimore has humbled themselves and those handing them a playoff spot.

Two weeks after their last win, the Steelers have re-earned their right to be considered a contender in this Week 5 showdown. With a season that still has light, Pittsburgh isn't dead, and could certainly find themselves walking away in the midst of a winning streak, and sending the Ravens to the bottom half of the AFC North.

The Ravens come into Sunday with one of the NFL's strongest running games, thanks to their offseason addition of Mark Ingram, and the most versatile quarterback in the NFL; Lamar Jackson.

Unfortunately, for the Steelers, that's been their weakest point of defense. Through four games, Pittsburgh has allowed 491 yards of offense on the ground. Prior to shutting down Joe Mixon, they allowed big runs in crunch situations to backs like Rashaad Penny, Chris Carson and Robert Mostert.

It's been the primary focus of the defense all week. Cameron Heyward, Bud Dupree and Joe Haden all mentioned the running game Baltimore will bring, and how this defense will need to stop it in order to gain the upper hand.

On offense, it could come down to how much more Randy Fichtner trusts Mason Rudolph. At this point, how much they air it out will depend on how comfortable the coaching staff feels in their quarterback. So far, that's left them with short passes and a wildcat formation. That could expand in Week 5.

It's Sunday morning and the Steelers know their season isn't saved yet. There's no better atmosphere than Heinz Field during Ravens week, and if this team was going to turn their season around in any environment, it'd be this one.

It'll be one of the most physical and exciting games of the season. Always is. The stakes are high, the rivalry is set, and with some new faces at important positions, both teams are looking to show that they're worth all the hype they received before Week 1.
