NASHVILLE - The NFL owner's meetings are taking place this week in Phoenix, and Tennessee Titans general manager Ran Carthon, Amy Adams-Strunk, and other members of the Titans front office are in Arizona to take part in the proceedings.

On Sunday, Carthon sat down with Jim Wyatt, the senior writer, and editor for the Titans website, to discuss most things Titans

Though Carthon did not divulge plans for the remained of free agency or the draft, he did share some fascinating and profound looks into issues surrounding the team and questions that have been asked repeatedly of late.

One interesting comment Carthon shared surrounded the recent free agent signings and why they felt suitable for the Titans.

"I think the overall arch and view of the guys we all brought in is every guy has starter-level ability, they just haven't had the opportunity to be a full-time starter. And, if you kind of think about it, it is kind of how Vrabes (Mike Vrabel)'s career started. He was a third-round pick in Pittsburgh – never started in Pittsburgh. said Carthon. "He got his opportunity in New England and obviously the rest is the rest in how he became the player he became. Each of these guys have logged starts here and there, but they have never been full-time starters, and they're guys that we believe in, that can become starters in our league."

Perhaps the biggest question was whether Kevin Byard or his representatives requested his release. Our own AllTitans writer, Tyler Rowland, covered that in another article you can read here.

As for Andre Dillard, the former Philadelphia tackle, now looking to secure the left tackle position in Tennessee, Carthon shared this.

"We'd like to start him off at left tackle and have him there first and see how it goes," Carthon said. "But he's another guy that's played guard, and I think the big thing is having versatility."

Again, no deeply held secrets are revealed here, but at least one of the rumors flying around has been dispelled, and some light has been shed on other things around the club, now have been given some attention, and we can return to the countdown to the NFL Draft.
