Adding a Defensive Titans Legend to the 2023 Roster

In this story:
NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Titans are getting ready to enter their 26th season in Tennessee and they have had a number of fantastic players. Our writer Greg Arias recently published his All-Time Titans list for the defensive side of the ball, but if the Titans could take one player from the past and add them to this year's team, who would they choose?
1. Jevon Kearse, EDGE 1999-2003, 2008-2009
Kearse had one of the greatest rookie seasons of all time in 1999. He entered the league with his hair on fire, putting up 14.5 sacks and 8 forced fumbles. Earning himself one of the best nicknames in sports history, "The Freak." It is impossible for me not to pick him as my first choice.
While the Titans do have some depth on the edge on their current defense, those who have followed my work for a few years know I am a slave to pass rush. You can never have too much. Not to mention, the Titans don't have a top-tier pass rusher. Harold Landry is a good player, but his versatility is more impressive than his isolated pass rush ability.
2. Samari Rolle, CB 1998-2004
The best cornerback in Titans' history isn't much of a debate. You could mention Courtland Finnegan, of course, but Rolle takes the spot easily. Rolle was incredibly consistent for the Titans, playing in at least 12 games every year. Rolle was an all-pro in 2000 and had 23 interceptions during his time in Nashville.
The Titans have some decent corners with Kristian Fulton, Sean Murphy-Bunting and Roger McCreary, but the first two have had injury issues in recent years. None of the three would you say is a "lockdown corner" either. Adding a high-level talent like Rolle would be giving the defense what they hoped they'd have in 2021 first-round bust Caleb Farley.
3. Keith Bulluck, LB 2000-2009
The best linebacker in team history for my money, Bulluck was a model of consistency and production. For a five-year stretch from 2002-2006, Bulluck had at least 127 tackles. That is outrageous. Constantly making plays on the ball, "Mr. Monday Night" had 19 interceptions during his time with the Titans and had five in one season in 2007.
The Titans' current linebacker group is relatively unproven. They added Azeez Al-Shaair in free agency, but Al-Shaair wasn't a certified starter during his time in San Francisco before coming to Nashville. Behind him, you have career backups or young players with low expectations. Bulluck would change this group overnight.
