NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Titans have the worst wide receiver room in the league and head coach Mike Vrabel has mentioned multiple times since the NFL draft concluded that the Titans can still sign players from now until the season. Deandre Hopkins becoming available seems like the kind of move Vrabel was forecasting.

However, with a player like Hopkins now available, will the Titans sign him? It seems unlikely, but the idea became even more unlikely this week as rumors swirl about Hopkins' intentions. According to a recent report, Hopkins is actually interested in re-joining his original club in Houston.

Apparently, Hopkins is very interested in a Texans reunion and even took a visit to Houston recently. This report comes from John Crumpler who writes for the Texans Wire.

According to our sources here at Sports Illustrated, the Titans were setting themselves up to trade to the third pick in the draft and select quarterback C.J. Stroud with the third pick. Hopkins being a part of that deal was discussed as well.

If Hopkins does return to Houston, there is a chance the Titans will have to watch Stroud throw to Hopkins, but instead of being in Nashville it would be with their divisional rival. That would be a tough pill to swallow for the Titans.

Hopkins is also rumored to be very interested in a reunion with former quarterback Deshaun Watson, who he played with in Houston, but this time on Watson's new team, the Cleveland Browns.

Cleveland makes much more sense for Hopkins, who will be 31 years old this season, because the Browns appear to have a better chance at winning games this season. However, the Browns are in a much tougher division in the AFC North. So, playing in the AFC South for a season may actually be an easier path at the end of the day.

Regardless, it doesn't look like Hopkins has much interest in the Titans as things stand now. The Titans haven't been linked to Hopkins in any way. Which makes you wonder what exactly Mike Vrabel is hoping to find between now and the season.
