Titans Give Camp Invite to XFL CB Olaijah Griffin, Son of Rapper Warren G

In this story:
NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Titans are doing exactly what they said they would. The roster build continues and the Titans are still in player acquisition mode. The Titans looked to the lower levels of professional football in a recent move, bringing in an XFL standout. Cornerback Olaijah Griffin will be joining the Titans' camp.

Griffin, six foot and 175 pounds, recently was on the Seattle Sea Dragons roster in the XFL, but has had some time in the NFL. Griffin was on the Buffalo Bills for some time after college, mostly on the team's practice squad. Eventually, Griffin was released by the Bills and signed on with the New York Giants for a spell before ultimately being let go in November of 2022.
Griffin hasn't been able to stick in the NFL since leaving Southern California after three seasons. Griffin was a good player at USC playing in 25 games with 15 starts. In those game he put up 67 tackles in one interception. Griffin also was an All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention in 2019 and 2020.
Griffin also is the son of legendary west-coast rapper Warren G. A connection that Griffin leaned into when he first signed with the Bills as an undrafted free agent in 2021. Regardless of the ties to his father though, Griffin will have a chance to carve out his own fame if he can land a spot with the Titans.

The Titans do have some depth at cornerback with Kristian Fulton, Sean Murphy-Bunting, Roger McCreary, Elijah Molden and Caleb Farley all on the depth chart, but there is always more room for those who earn it and some of the names the Titans have aren't reliable enough to write their names in pen on the 53-man roster.
Griffin definitely has an uphill battle to make the roster, but maybe this time with the Titans turns into a shot for him or, at minimum, gives him a chance to stay in the NFL for a while longer on a new team.
