NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Titans will continue their summer practice schedule this afternoon. As the Titans take the field, there are a few key players to watch.

Young Quarterbacks

There is no way to have this list without including Malik Willis and Will Levis. Whether it be the battle for the backup spot or interest in the future, the development and progression of the Titans' two young quarterbacks is the most important thing to watch at organized team activities(OTAs).

Has Malik Willis truly improved after his first season? Can Will Levis be worth the pick? So much of the discussion around the two players will be based on their performance in these practices and in training camp. While most believe Levis will eventually take the QB2 spot, an improved Willis could make it interesting.

2nd Year Standouts

The Tennessee Titans' offense has been in the spotlight all offseason as concerns mount about what the group will be able to do. The truth is the Titans' offense will go as the second-year standouts go. Treylon Burks and Chig Okonkwo will be the primary playmakers in the passing game for the Titans and they need to look the part.

If Burks and Okonkwo can build off the solid moments they produced in 2022 and turn into legitimate weapons, it takes the Titans' ceiling as an offense to an entirely different level. They both have the ability to be game-breaking options every Sunday. If that is going to happen in the fall, both should be dominating the summer.

Elijah Molden

Molden is being cross-trained at the safety position after spending his first two seasons as the nickel corner in the Titans' defense. While at first glance it seems like a logical move to add depth, it could be something more. Before we go there though let's talk about why it makes sense on the surface.

Molden played in the slot for the Titans, but only on early downs normally. Molden is not skilled in man coverage, but has a great understanding of zone coverages and play with incredible physicality for a corner. That's why even at his best, Molden would be taken off the field on passing downs. Training him to play some safety adds some value to Molden being on the roster.

Looking at it even closer though, the Titans could be grooming Molden to be their next starting safety. Kevin Byard is not in attendance and there has been some disagreement between Byard and the team this offseason. The Titans could save a ton of money with a Byard release or trade, so if the Titans consider that, having Molden as a backup plan would be a logical thing to do.
