WR Treylon Burks Named Tennessee Titans 'Most Intriguing' Player in Training Camp

In this story:
NASHVILLE — Just a month ago all the hype around the Tennessee Titans' wide receivers was focused on Treylon Burks, but with the signing of DeAndre Hopkins, that focus shifted dramatically to the three-time All-Pro. However, it was Burks who was named as the "most intriguing" player in Titans' training camp so far.
In a piece from Ari Meirov of the 33rd Team, a player on each team was identified as the "most intriguing" and Burks was the pick for the Titans. Burks is heading into his second year after being a first-round pick in 2022 and although he didn't put up monster number in 2022, you could see flashes of an excellent player.
Burks played in only 11 games last season and had 33 catches for 444 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown. It is understandable if the national consensus isn't as high on him as those around the Titans, but clearly Meirov can see what Burks has the chance to become.
"The Tennessee Titans were concerned with Treylon Burks’ conditioning during OTAs and minicamp last season. He ended up playing in just 11 games, catching 33 passes for 444 yards and one touchdown. Folks in the Titans organization have seen a “different” Burks entering Year 2, and he’s in “much better shape.” There’s greater confidence he could be a genuine big-play threat alongside newly acquired DeAndre Hopkins."
Burks does look like an entirely new person compared to who he was a year ago at this time. Burks is much leaner and in better shape than he has ever been. Not just physically though, Burks is sharper mentally after spending all the offseason in the facility learning the new offense.
So, Hopkins may be the most exciting wide receiver on the team, but Burks' ability gives him a chance to be even better than Hopkins this season and that on it's own makes Burks a great choice for the most intriguing player in Titans' training camp.
