CBS Made Peyton Manning an Offer While Tony Romo was Considering ESPN's Offer

Romo signed a 10-year $180 million deal with CBS

CBS reportedly made an offer to Peyton Manning while Tony Romo was in negotiation with ESPN to join Monday Night Football. CBS was then able to sign Romo to a 10-year $180 Million contract to return to the network. Peyton Manning who has been working on the ESPN+ show Detail where he breaks down current NFL players is now reportedly being pursued for the Monday Night Football spot.
