The Kansas City Chiefs have exercised quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ fifth-year option with the team. Obviously this move isn’t a surprise to anyone. Mahomes rallied Kansas City in a fourth-quarter comeback to win Super Bowl LIV in February and earned Super Bowl MVP honors. In his first full season as a starter in 2018 Mahomes threw 50 touchdowns and was named NFL MVP. Arrowhead Report’s Joshua Brisco applauds the no-brainer decision by Kansas City.
