Former TCU wide receiver Quentin Johnston, a projected first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, has a pre-draft meeting coming up with the Minnesota Vikings, according to insider Aaron Wilson.

It's one of many visits for Johnston, whose combination of size and athleticism will likely result in him being selected in the first round next month. He stands 6'3", 208 pounds and recently ran an unofficial 4.48 40 at TCU's pro day, which is a good time for a player his size. Johnston also shined in the vertical and broad jumps at the combine.

In his third season at TCU, Johnston broke out with 60 catches for 1,069 yards and six touchdowns. That included going for 206 yards against Kansas, 180 against Oklahoma State, 139 in the Big 12 title game against Kansas State, and 163 in the national semifinal against Michigan. Three of his six touchdowns came from more than 50 yards out, including a 76-yarder against the Wolverines.

The Vikings have a need at wide receiver after releasing Adam Thielen earlier in March. They could use a long-term partner for Justin Jefferson at the position, which is why it wouldn't be shocking to see them take a receiver as early as the first round. In addition to Johnston, players like USC's Jordan Addison and Boston College's Zay Flowers could also be options for the Vikings with their top pick, which is currently No. 23 overall.
