Vikings Combine Draft Prospect Interviews: Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, More

In this story:
The Vikings are in Indianapolis for the annual NFL scouting combine all week, and one of the most beneficial things they get to do is conduct formal interviews with dozens of draft prospects.
Here's a look at some of the players who they've interviewed so far, according to reports on social media. It's important to note that this will cover just a tiny chunk of the many players they've already interviewed or will end up talking to throughout the week.
USC QB Caleb Williams
#USC QB Caleb Williams, the potential top overall pick, arrives today at the NFL Scouting Combine and is expected to meet with the #Bears, #Commanders, #Patriots, #Raiders, #Falcons, #Jets, #Giants and #Vikings. Williams will do meetings, but no testing or on-field work. pic.twitter.com/x5onK00Ous

The Vikings would have to trade all the way up to the Bears' No. 1 overall pick to land Williams, which is highly unlikely, but it's worth doing due diligence on him nonetheless.
LSU QB Jayden Daniels
#LSU Heisman Trophy winning QB Jayden Daniels spent yesterday and today at the Combine meeting with teams such as the #Bears, #Commanders, #Vikings, #Jets, #Giants, #Patriots, #Raiders, #Seahawks and #Saints.

Daniels is a more realistic option for the Vikings than Williams. They'd still have to move up into the top three, but a trade with the Patriots at No. 3 is much more within reason than a trade with the Bears at No. 1. Then again, the Heisman-winning Daniels could also go second overall to the Commanders, if they prefer him to Drake Maye. (The Vikings will also undoubtedly be meeting with Maye, J.J. McCarthy, and all of the other notable quarterbacks in this year's class, even if those haven't been reported yet).
Texas DT Byron Murphy II
#Vikings meeting with many prospects in Indianapolis this week, and among them is Texas DT Byron Murphy II, who could be the first interior D-lineman drafted

Murphy is a legitimate possibility at No. 11 if the Vikings don't draft a quarterback with their top pick. He's a game-wrecking interior defensive lineman who some have connected to Minnesota.
Washington EDGE Bralen Trice
Spent my first interview of the day with #Washington EDGE Bralen Trice, who rattled off #Cardinals, #Panthers, #Dolphins, #Rams, #Vikings, #Jaguars, #Saints, #Lions, #Texans, #Seahawks and #Falcons as teams he’s met with.
