Time to see what Josh Dobbs has in store for an encore performance.

Following his incredible, storybook Vikings debut last weekend in Atlanta, Dobbs is about to make his first start as Minnesota's quarterback. It's a big game at U.S. Bank Stadium between two NFC playoff contenders in the Vikings and Saints, both of whom are sitting at 5-4 through nine weeks.

The Vikings are looking to stretch their winning streak to five games and put some pressure on the Lions to win later on Sunday afternoon. They'll be without superstar wide receiver Justin Jefferson for the fifth straight game — as well as WR K.J. Osborn — but they do get LT Christian Darrisaw back and will have TE T.J. Hockenson available despite his questionable tag.

The visiting Saints are looking to stretch their own winning streak to three games and remain atop the NFC South. Dennis Allen's team is led by a talented, experienced core of players on defense. Offensively, Derek Carr has been inconsistent but can lean on playmakers like Alvin Kamara, Taysom Hill, Chris Olave, and Michael Thomas.

This should be a good one. It'll be fascinating to see what the Vikings' offensive game plan looks like, with Kevin O'Connell and his staff having had a whole week to prepare Dobbs as the starter. With no Cam Akers, it'll be Alexander Mattison and Ty Chandler leading the way for the Vikings' struggling running game. And with no Jefferson or Osborn, this could be a big opportunity for Jalen Nailor.

If anything were to happen to Dobbs, Sean Mannion is the backup quarterback.

1:48 — The Vikings have picked off Jameis Winston twice in the final minutes of this game. First it was rookie Mekhi Blackmon, now it's Byron Murphy Jr.

Vikings 27, Saints 19

11:40 — What did I say about this game not being over? Winston just threw another remarkable touchdown pass, this one to A.T. Perry, and the Saints converted another two-point attempt. It's suddenly a one-score game.

Third Quarter

Vikings 27, Saints 11

5:26 — This one isn't over just yet. With Derek Carr hurt, Jameis Winston just threw a touchdown pass to Chris Olave, who made an incredible catch. It's technically a two-score game after the two-point conversion.

Vikings 27, Saints 3

10:09 — After forcing a three and out to open the second half, the Vikings got into the red zone but settled for a field goal. Their lead continues to grow.

Second Quarter

Vikings 24, Saints 3

0:16 — The legend of Dobbs just continues to grow. He just hit T.J. Hockenson for a 28-yard touchdown up the seam to extend the Vikings' lead to 21 points before halftime. Dobbs has been almost flawless. Hockenson already has 128 receiving yards.

First Quarter

Vikings 3, Saints 3

1:19 — A strong drive from the Saints was knocked back by a holding call, much like the Vikings' opening possession. They settle for a field goal to tie it.

Vikings 3, Saints 0

10:47 — The Vikings get on the board first via a 40-yard Greg Joseph field goal. Josh Dobbs hit Jordan Addison for a 27-yard gain, but the drive stalled due to a holding penalty.
