The Vikings are in Seattle to take on the Seahawks in their preseason opener on Thursday night at 7 p.m. local time. For those watching in the central or eastern time zones, it'll be a late night.

Preseason games present huge opportunities for players deep down 90-man rosters across the league. Not only will young Vikings players have a chance to impress their own coaching staff and front office, putting good things on tape can get them noticed by the other 31 teams, too. From journeyman veterans to undrafted rookies, everyone who takes the field on Thursday night will be looking to play well and turn heads.

Don't expect Kirk Cousins, Justin Jefferson, or any other Vikings stars to play a single snap. Kevin O'Connell said this week that first-round rookie Jordan Addison will play, but the safe assumption is he'll only play a series or two. This game — and the two preseason contests in Minnesota later this month — is primarily about the bubble guys and longshots.
