Less than one half into the 2023 regular season, the Vikings were already playing multiple backups on their offensive line.

After center Garrett Bradbury came out of the game with a back injury and was later ruled out, star left tackle Christian Darrisaw joined him in the locker room. Darrisaw is dealing with an ankle injury and remains questionable to return as the second half gets underway.

Update: Darrisaw has RETURNED to the game for the Vikings' opening drive of the second half.

Oli Udoh is in the game at left tackle to replace Darrisaw. Recently-acquired tackle David Quessenberry is inactive today.

It would be a massive loss for the Vikings if Darrisaw can't return to this game — and if his status for Thursday night's game in Philadelphia is in danger. The third-year tackle out of Virginia Tech is one of Minnesota's best players.

Injuries have been part of Darrisaw's NFL career, as is the case for many players. The 2021 first-round pick missed the first month-plus of his rookie season and was then eased into action once he was recovered from offseason groin surgery. Darrisaw got better as his rookie campaign went along.

Last year was Darrisaw's breakout year; he emerged as one of the best offensive tackles in football. However, he missed three full games and half of two others due to concussion issues.
