Dalvin Cook Muses About Playing With Fellow Free Agent DeAndre Hopkins

In this story:
Dalvin Cook and DeAndre Hopkins are arguably the top two available free agents in the NFL at the moment, two household names with nine Pro Bowl appearances between them.
Could they end up on the same team? Cook's interested in making it happen, he said this week on Adam Schefter's podcast.
"If we end up on the same roster, that would be something epic for the NFL," Cook said. "I know his mindset, and I done played against D-Hop a numerous amount of times. When I been with D-Hop, we done chilled together, we done been around each other, and it's like I kind of see the person that he is like, he want to win and that's what my mind at too.
"I want to go win. Like I said, the money gonna come and that's going to happen. But like as far as going to lift that (Lombardi) Trophy up, he got the same mindset as me."
Cook said he hasn't yet talked to Hopkins, but that he plans on reaching out. Both players seemingly have designs on signing with a contender.
Cook, who was released by the Vikings earlier this month, has made four consecutive Pro Bowls. He trails only Derrick Henry in yards from scrimmage since the start of the 2019 season.
Hopkins is a five-time Pro Bowler, although he's missed time with injuries in the past two seasons. The three-time first team All-Pro spent the past three seasons with the Cardinals after seven years with the Texans. Hopkins, 31, was also released for contract reasons this offseason.
Ultimately, it's probably quite unlikely that Cook and Hopkins sign with the same team. Even if they want to join contenders, money is typically the primary factor for big-name free agents, and it's hard to imagine any team — much less a contender — having the cap space to sign both players for a satisfactory amount.
