Final Vikings-49ers Injury Report: Latest on McCaffrey, Williams, Samuel

In this story:
The 49ers will be without at least two of their top players for Monday night's matchup with the Vikings in Minneapolis. They've ruled out WR Deebo Samuel — who will miss multiple games with a hairline fracture in his shoulder — and have listed star LT Trent Williams (ankle) as doubtful after not practicing all week.
RB Christian McCaffrey (oblique) and LB Dre Greenlaw (hamstring) are questionable. We might learn more about their statuses as the game approaches. The official inactive lists will come out at 5:45 p.m. central time on Monday.
This is significant news for the Vikings as they look to pull off the upset against perhaps the best team in the NFL. Samuel is a dangerous playmaker who is the 49ers' second-leading receiver behind Brandon Aiyuk. Williams has been the standard for greatness at left tackle for years and years now.
With Samuel out, the 49ers will lean more on Jauan Jennings and players like Ronnie Bell or Ray-Ray McCloud III behind top targets Aiyuk and George Kittle. With no Williams, they'll turn to backup Jaylon Moore at LT. That's good news for Danielle Hunter, who is tied for the league lead with eight sacks in six games. If there's a weakness on this 49ers team that the Vikings have to exploit, it's their offensive line — particularly with no Williams.
It'll be worth keeping a close eye on the statuses of McCaffrey and Greenlaw ahead of Monday's game. If McCaffrey is out, it'll be Jordan Mason and Elijah Mitchell at running back for the 49ers. If Greenlaw can't play, Oren Burks would see a much bigger role alongside Fred Warner.
For the Vikings, left guard Ezra Cleveland was ruled out with a foot injury, meaning Dalton Risner will make his first start with Minnesota. CB Akayleb Evans (oblique) and WR Jalen Nailor (hamstring) are questionable. Nailor could be activated from injured reserve for the game.
