The Vikings have officially listed superstar receiver Justin Jefferson as questionable for Sunday night's game against the Broncos. It's possible he could make his return from a hamstring injury that his cost him the last five games, but it feels more likely than not that he sits out at least one more contest. Both Jefferson and head coach Kevin O'Connell have made it very clear that he won't be back in action until he's at 100 percent.

Also questionable for Sunday night's game in Denver is running back Alexander Mattison, who has been in concussion protocol this week. He's likely to clear the protocol before this weekend, but the Vikings could elect to sit him out for one game for precautionary reasons like they did with K.J. Osborn last Sunday. If Mattison doesn't play, the Vikings' lead back would be Ty Chandler.

Osborn, by the way, will play against the Broncos. So will T.J. Hockenson and Josh Dobbs, who were on the injury report.

Brian Asamoah II, Chris Reed, and Nick Mullens are also questionable for the Vikings. They expect to have Mullens available as the backup quarterback in Denver. That would be big, because rookie Jaren Hall has been ruled out for the second week in a row due to his concussion.

Starting cornerback Akayleb Evans has been ruled out with a calf injury. That creates a big opportunity for rookie Mekhi Blackmon, as well as second-year corner Andrew Booth Jr.

Also out, of course, is middle linebacker and team captain Jordan Hicks, who was placed on injured reserve this week and will miss at least four games.
