Less than one half into his return from missing seven games with a hamstring injury, Justin Jefferson just headed to the locker room with trainers after taking a big hit. He's been listed as questionable to return with a chest injury.

Update: Jefferson has been ruled out for the remainder of the game. The team announced that he's been taken to a local hospital in Las Vegas as a precaution.

On his second catch of the day in the second quarter, Jefferson took a shot from Raiders safety Marcus Epps while he was in mid-air. The high throw from Josh Dobbs led him into the dangerous contact.

Jefferson stayed down for a moment and then went to the blue medical tent to be evaluated. After a minute or so, he walked to the locker room with trainers and medical staff.

It would be a brutal blow for the Vikings if Jefferson isn't able to return. He missed the last seven games due to the hamstring injury he suffered in Week 5 against the Chiefs, only to come back and get knocked out of this game for at least the time being. It's unclear if Jefferson just got the wind knocked out of him or if he sustained real damage to his chest that will prevent a return.

Jefferson caught a pass for 12 yards to open the Vikings' third offensive possession, then came down with a 15-yard gain on the play where he was injured. With those two catches, he passed Randy Moss for the most receiving yards in a player's first four seasons in Vikings history — and the most receiving yards by a player under 25 years old in NFL history.
