Justin Jefferson Reports to Vikings' Mandatory Minicamp

In this story:
Justin Jefferson has arrived.
Despite not having signed a contract extension yet, the Vikings' superstar wide receiver reported to the team's mandatory minicamp on Tuesday, marking his first appearance on the practice field at TCO Performance Center this offseason. We'll have to wait and see exactly how much he participates over the course of two days of minicamp on Tuesday and Wednesday, but either way, he'll avoid the fines that Danielle Hunter will be receiving for not showing up.
Just like that, Vikings fans everywhere can exhale a bit.

Jefferson had not been present at any of the Vikings' OTAs over the last month or so, which led to speculation that he was waiting for a contract extension before showing up. Head coach Kevin O'Connell said after one practice that he hoped to see Jefferson as soon as he decided to come back to Minnesota and be with the team.
Now he's here, despite not yet signing an extension. To be clear, the Vikings don't have to sign Jefferson to a massive new contract this offseason, as he still has one year left on his rookie deal and then the fifth-year option in 2024. But the price only figures to go up, so it would seem like something the Vikings may want to get out of the way as soon as possible.
