Kirk Cousins is a Top-Ten QB in Madden 24

In this story:
Kirk Cousins, top-ten QB?
Whoever handles the ratings for the Madden NFL video game series thinks so. Cousins, somewhat surprisingly, is the ninth-highest rated quarterback in Madden 24 as an 84 overall. Among NFC QBs, he trails only Jalen Hurts (88) and Dak Prescott (87). Some of the names Cousins is rated higher than are Tua Tagovailoa, Trevor Lawrence, Jared Goff, Deshaun Watson, and Russell Wilson.

The reason this is a surprise is that Cousins is typically considered to be somewhere in the 11-15 range at the position. He was just an honorable mention in ESPN's recent top ten QB list that was based on a survey of coaches, executives, scouts, and players.
But it also seems like national perception of Cousins might be changing a bit. He didn't have his best statistical season in 2022 during his first year operating Kevin O'Connell's offense, but what he did do was lead the league in fourth-quarter comebacks and game-winning drives for a 13-win Vikings team. He also showed incredible toughness by getting hit more than any QB in the league and not missing any time. Netflix's 'Quarterback' series seems to have people coming around on Cousins and developing a new respect for him as a player and person.
The Vikings' offense should be pretty fun to use in Madden. Cousins is an 84, Justin Jefferson is a 99 overall, T.J. Hockenson is a 90, and both Christian Darrisaw and Brian O'Neill are in the 85-86 range.
