NFL Analyst Calls Vikings a 10-Win Team in 2023

In this story:
It's not exactly a secret that very few people think the Vikings can come close to following up last year's 13 wins this season.
And it's understandable. When you go 11-0 in one-score games and have a negative point differential, regression is to be expected. The question is how much of that inevitable regression the Vikings can stave off with their "situational masters" focus, a second year in Kevin O'Connell's offense, and a brand new defensive philosophy.
Heading into the 2023 season, the Vikings' Vegas over/under win total is 8.5. If you bet the over, they could win four fewer games than last season and still get there.
NFL Network's Adam Rank, a noted Bears fan, thinks the Vikings are only going to win eight games. His colleague David Carr disagrees.
"When you look at it, there's no way that this team — unless defensively, they just buckle, that's going to be the biggest thing," Carr said on NFL Total Access. "I understand Adam's point with the one-score games, that was something, but Kirk Cousins is still your quarterback. You've added Jordan Addison. You have some good components on the offensive side of the ball. I don't know, I understand anything can happen, but for me, I just don't see this as an 8-win team. This is a ten-win team."
I'm with Carr. I understand that the Vikings won't win 13 games again, but I'm enough of a believer in O'Connell, Brian Flores, and the talent on the offensive side of the ball that I think Minnesota can get to 10 or 11 victories, even with a difficult schedule.
