The Vikings are well-represented at this week's Senior Bowl in Mobile, AL. Not only are GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah and numerous other staffers in attendance, three members of Kevin O'Connell's coaching staff are coaching senior draft prospects on the National team throughout the week (practices began on Tuesday).

DBs coach Daronte Jones is the defensive coordinator for the National squad, defensive assistant Imarjaye Albury is coaching the linebackers and edge players, and assistant DBs coach Michael Hutchings is working with the DBs. 

This is a cool development opportunity for Hutchings, whose first NFL season just wrapped up. He's also another set of eyes who will be closely evaluating these players ahead of a draft where the Vikings need a corner or two.

Cornerbacks

  • Quinyon Mitchell, Toledo
  • Cam Hart, Notre Dame
  • Max Melton, Rutgers
  • Kalen King, Penn State
  • Johnny Dixon, Penn State
  • Khyree Jackson, Oregon
  • Willie Drew, Virginia State
  • Chau Smith-Wade, Washington State

Safeties

  • Josh Proctor, Ohio State
  • Sione Vaki, Utah
  • Cole Bishop, Utah
  • Jaden Hicks, Washington State
  • Kitan Oladapo, Oregon State
  • Evan Williams, Oregon

Mitchell is the top prospect among this group. The Toledo corner is a legit first-round player who is sticky, athletic, and physical at the catch point. He's already turning heads with his play on Day 1 in Mobile. Mitchell deserves to be in the conversation with other top corners like Clemson's Nate Wiggins and Alabama's Terrion Arnold — and he could be in the mix for the Vikings at No. 11 overall.

Other notable prospects in this group include King and Vaki, who are likely Day 2 picks. Hart is a bigger corner whose size could interest the Vikings.
