The Vikings suffered a tough loss in Kansas City on Sunday, with a number of little things and missed opportunities leading to a disappointing defeat. Mike Zimmer wasn't in a very talkative mood postgame, but he did give credit to the Chiefs and said he'll have to look at the tape to see what the Vikings did wrong.

"It was a game of big plays," Zimmer said. "They made more than we did. I thought we fought like crazy, we just didn't play well enough to win."

Addressing the Chiefs' 91-yard touchdown run, Zimmer said “we misfit it a little bit. We had a pressure coming off the outside; we got out of line and missed tackles.”

Kirk Cousins, who struggled at times despite throwing three touchdown passes, was a bit more expansive with the media, speaking for ten minutes on why the Vikings may have struggled. Below are his opening statement and a few of his answers.

“I really treat it as 16 separate entities,” Cousins said when asked about rough end to the four-game winning streak. “If you put four together, it doesn’t really mean anything. You never know what the next game is going to bring, and this is a great example. You never know what narrative you’re going to put together. The challenges you’ll face are all different. What worked one week might not work another week, so you just have to reinvent yourself. There was some of that today.”
