The Vikings have activated linebacker Jordan Hicks from injured reserve, the team announced on Saturday. They also elevated CB Jaylin Williams and WR Lucky Jackson from the practice squad ahead of Sunday’s game against the Lions at U.S. Bank Stadium.

Hicks is officially listed as questionable to return from his shin injury, but he practiced in full all week. If he does play, he and rookie Ivan Pace Jr. figure to both be big parts of coordinator Brian Flores’ game plan against Detroit’s high-powered offense.

Back in Week 10, Hicks suffered a blow to the shin and developed compartment syndrome in his leg. He was rushed to the hospital for an emergency procedure that doctors said may have saved the use of his leg.

Despite the scary injury that left a foot-long scar on his lower leg, Hicks appears set to return after missing the minimum four games on IR.

Williams, an undrafted rookie out of Indiana, gives the Vikings additional depth at cornerback with Byron Murphy Jr. (hamstring) ruled out. He’ll be next in line for snaps behind Akayleb Evans, Mekhi Blackmon, and Andrew Booth Jr.

Jackson is a receiver from Western Kentucky who is in his second season. He gives the Vikings another depth option at receiver with Jalen Nailor (concussion) out, but he likely will only play on special teams.
