Vikings-Buccaneers Injury Report: Marcus Davenport Questionable

In this story:
Vikings outside linebacker Marcus Davenport is listed as questionable for Sunday's regular season opener against the Buccaneers with an ankle injury.
He's the only Minnesota player listed on the final injury report. Both Troy Dye and Ryan Wright are good to go after being listed earlier in the week. Neither missed any practices.
Davenport was limited on Friday. The Vikings will pay close attention to how he's feeling over the next couple days before evaluating him in warmups on Sunday morning to determine if he can play. If Davenport is cleared to play, head coach Kevin O'Connell said he expects he'll be able to handle his full workload.
Injuries were a part of Davenport's story during his five-year tenure with the Saints. The 2018 first-round pick has never played an entire season, exceeding 13 appearances for the first time in his career last year. His career-high in defensive snaps in 533, set in 2019. Since being drafted, Davenport has missed short periods of time due to injuries to his toe, foot, elbow, pec, shoulder, and head (concussion).
This spring, the Vikings made the ex-Saint one of their marquee free agent additions, signing him to a one-year, $13 million contract. Davenport has been a consistent pressure producer and PFF darling when healthy and just turned 27 this week, so the Vikings are hoping this can be the most productive season of his career.
Now Davenport's status for Week 1 is up in the air, creating the possibility that this ankle injury puts his Vikings debut on hold.
For the Buccaneers, rookie defensive tackle Calijah Kancey and rookie guard Cody Mauch — both of whom are starters — will be game-time decisions.
