In this story:

Despite receiving another questionable tag this week, Marcus Davenport (ankle) is officially active on Sunday for his second full game with the Vikings. He'll be a big part of Brian Flores' plan to defend Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs' prolific attack. Davenport picked up his first sack as a Viking in what was essentially his season debut last week against the Panthers.

The most notable inactive player for Minnesota is backup quarterback Nick Mullens, who has a back injury. That means rookie QB Jaren Hall will serve as the No. 2 behind the famously durable Kirk Cousins in this game. Tanner Morgan, who was signed to the practice squad this week, was not elevated to the gameday roster.

Also inactive for the Vikings: OLB Andre Carter II, S Lewis Cine, TE Nick Muse, DL Khyiris Tonga, and OL Hakeem Adeniji. Cine is injured (hamstring), while the others are healthy scratches. WR N'Keal Harry was elevated from the practice squad and is active.

For the Chiefs, LB Nick Bolton (ankle) is inactive. That's a big piece of Steve Spagnuolo's defense that will be missing today. Also inactive are DE B.J. Thompson, OL Mike Caliendo, DT Matt Dickerson, and DT Keondre Coburn.

The Vikings will look to take down the Chiefs in the first-ever meeting between these teams at U.S. Bank Stadium and Mahomes' first game against Minnesota. Kickoff is at 3:25 p.m. central time on CBS.
