The Vikings have elevated wide receiver Trishton Jackson and running back Myles Gaskin from the practice squad for Saturday afternoon's game against the Bengals in Cincinnati, the team announced on Friday.

Jackson gives Kevin O'Connell some additional depth at WR with Jalen Nailor in the concussion protocol. The top four is Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, K.J. Osborn, and Brandon Powell, but Jackson — who has played 80 snaps on offense this year across six games — will be next in line for snaps as the WR5. He played 53 snaps against the Falcons and caught the game-tying two-point conversion from Josh Dobbs.

Gaskin also provides depth at a position where the Vikings will be missing someone. Starting RB Alexander Mattison has been ruled out for this game with an ankle injury, so Gaskin joins Ty Chandler, Kene Nwangwu, and fullback C.J. Ham as an option for snaps in the backfield.

A 2019 seventh-round pick out of Washington, Gaskin appeared in 27 games for the Dolphins between 2020 and '21 and had north of 400 touches and 1,800 yards from scrimmage to go along with 12 total touchdowns. He has a career average of 3.8 yards per carry but is a capable receiver out of the backfield.

This year, Gaskin was released by Miami in August and landed on the Vikings' practice squad until the Rams signed him to their active roster in October. Then he was waived by LA in November and returned to Minnesota's practice squad a week later. Gaskin hasn't played a single offensive snap this season, but he has appeared on special teams in one game for both the Vikings and Rams.
