The Vikings' First Injury Report vs. Tampa Bay is Virtually Empty

In this story:
The Vikings' first official injury report of the 2023 season is here — and it's basically empty.
The only player listed is linebacker Troy Dye (elbow), but he was a full participant in Wednesday's practice and head coach Kevin O'Connell said he expects Dye, barring any setbacks, to be good to go for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay.
Dye is the fourth inside linebacker on the Vikings' depth chart, behind veteran Jordan Hicks and young players Ivan Pace Jr. and Brian Asamoah, but he's a valuable special teams contributor. Since 2020, only Josh Metellus and Kris Boyd have played more special teams snaps than Dye.
Everyone else on the 53-man roster is fully healthy to begin the season. The Vikings will be lucky if that's ever the case again over the next four months, but it's certainly a great place to start. That includes rookies Jordan Addison and NaJee Thompson, who had brief stints on the concussion protocol in recent weeks. It also includes T.J. Hockenson, whose ear infection and lower-back stiffness seemed to immediately clear up when he signed his contract extension.
The Buccaneers' bill of health isn't perfectly clean. Rookie defensive tackle Calijah Kancey, the team's first-round pick, is questionable after not practicing on Wednesday. The Vikings are likely hoping his NFL debut doesn't come until Week 2. Safety Antoine Winfield Jr. is trending towards playing, as is top wide receiver Mike Evans, who is uninjured but seeking a contract extension.
