Two of the Vikings' top three receiving targets have been ruled out of today's game against the Lions with lower-body injuries. Rookie WR Jordan Addison has an ankle injury and TE T.J. Hockenson has a knee injury. Those are two huge losses for Minnesota's offense.

Addison, who was coming off a huge game against the Bengals, seemed to hurt his ankle on a first-half play where Nick Mullens underthrew him and had the ball intercepted by Kerby Joseph.

Hockenson got hurt when he took a huge hit to the knee after a 24-yard reception early in the third quarter. He was quickly taken to the locker room and ruled out.

Before exiting, Hockenson had four catches for 58 yards. He leads all tight ends with 95 receptions this season and is up to 960 yards on the season, putting him just shy of the first 1,000-yard campaign of his career.

Addison has had a phenomenal rookie season, racking up 63 catches for 826 yards and nine touchdowns up to this point.

The Vikings still have Justin Jefferson and K.J. Osborn at receiver — and both are having big games. Beyond those two, they're down to players like Josh Oliver, Brandon Powell, Johnny Mundt, and Trishton Jackson as pass-catchers for Nick Mullens.

Vikings rookie CB Mekhi Blackmon also left the field in the third quarter, replaced by Andrew Booth Jr.

We'll hear injury updates from Kevin O’Connell after the conclusion of the game.
