The Vikings have announced that they'll be wearing their "Vikings Classic" throwback uniforms for the second time this season when they host the Bears on Monday Night Football in Week 12.

The jerseys, which honor the great Vikings teams from the 1960s and '70s, were debuted against the Buccaneers in Week 1. They looked fantastic, but the Vikings lost that game 20-17.

The throwback look has a slightly different shade of purple, white numbers with gold trim, and the classic stripe on the arms and down the legs. The helmets have gray facemasks, which is a subtle but important part of the look. The jerseys also have a patch honoring legendary coach Bud Grant, who passed away in March.

This will be the first time that new Vikings quarterback Josh Dobbs and left guard Dalton Risner get to wear these uniforms. It'll be fourth primetime game of the season for the Vikings and the second in as many weeks, so a national audience will get to see how spectacular the throwbacks are.

There are also rumors that the Vikings will be doing a second annual white-out game when they host the Lions on Christmas Eve in Week 16. They did that last season against the Giants, wearing white jerseys and white pants and painting the field with special white details.
