Mike Krzyzewski Sets Record For Wins With 903

With his team's win over Michigan State, Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski earns his 903rd win and surpasses Bobby Knight to become the winningest coach in D1 men's basketball history.  Knight was on-hand watching with the ESPN broadcast crew as junior guard Andre Dawkins put up 26 points to lead the Blue Devils to a 74-69 win.

Many of Coach K's ex-players were watching the game, and at least a few took to Twitter to congratulate their former coach.

Nolan Smith wrote, "Congrats to the GOAT!! Coach K!! It was an honor to play for you!! #903!!!"

JJ Redick expressed similar sentiments: "Congrats to Coach K on 903 wins! Very proud to have been a part of a few of them! #letsgoduke #ilovecoachk #alltimewinsrecord"

And even former opponents chimed in, including Rudy Gay, who played his college ball at Connecticut but wrote, "Congrats to Coach K! Great accomplishment!!!"

According to a quote transcribed and tweeted by @ESPNU, Krzyzewski was humble at receiving the honor.  "It's not a ball that a coach should have," the coach reportedly said, "it's a ball that a school and a program should have."
