Bengals cornerback Pacman Jones pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct today in Cincinnati, according to WLWT News.

Jones was to face trial for charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, however as part of his plea deal, the resisting arrest charge was dropped.

"I was just trying to protect someone that I love. I put it on myself. I just apologize to the officers and the people at the Justice Center," Jones told the court. "I truly realize I could have handled it better."

Jones will be sentenced to a 30-day suspended jail sentence and one year of probation. He was also fined the maximum amount under the law and was ordered to complete 50 hours of community service.
