Jim Larranaga Receives Three-Year Extension From Miami

Friday January 27th, 2012

University of Miami head basketball coach Jim Larranaga has agreed to a three-year contract extension, according to the Palm Beach Post.

The deal will reportedly extend three more years on to the end of his current contract, which would keep him the head coach in Miami through 2019, the Post reports. Financials of the deal were not disclosed, however his previous contract with Miami was believed to pay him $1.3 million per season.

The Hurricanes are currently 11-7 in their first year with Larranaga at the helm. Last year, under head coach Frank Haith, they finished the season 21-15.
