Video: Rory McIlroy Beats Maria Sharapova In Tennis
Just days after being named the No. 1 golfer in the world, Rory McIlroy won a point against one of the best women’s tennis players in the world, Maria Sharapova.
McIlroy, 22, was on hand to watch his girlfriend, professional tennis star Caroline Wozniacki’s exhibition match against Sharapova. In a game full of laughs and light-hearted moments, Wozniaki called McIlroy onto the court to play a point for her.
The emerging golf star was able to win the point with a lob that forced Sharapova to hit the ball out of play.
