The two-time All-Star selection took last season off and was attempting to make a comeback with the Indians this season. He last played with the Texas Rangers where he had seven hits, and one RBI in 15 games.

Guzman’s best season was in 2001 when he hit .302 with 51 RBIs, and 10 home runs. That season he lead the Majors in triples and was named an American League All-Star.
