Report: Miguel Tejada Re-Signs With Orioles

Miguel Tejada signed a minor league deal with the Baltimore Orioles today, Roch Kubatko of MASN reports. He's already played in his first extended spring training game, as he served as a DH today.

Tejada was a San Francisco Giant for part of last season; he hasn't played in a big-league game since Aug. 30. It's unclear what the Orioles' plan will be with the 37-year-old infielder.

"I don't know Miguel that well," Orioles manager Buck Showalter said. "I've heard good things about him from guys that were here with him, as far as a teammate and everything. Everybody speaks real highly of him. I don't know him that well. I'll lean on the people in extended, and we've got good people down there. I don't know what the process or the plan is at this point."

Tejada hit .239 last year with only four home runs and 26 RBIs. For his career, he's hit .285 with 304 homers and 1,282 RBIs.
