NFL pushes 4:15 p.m. games back 10 minutes to 4:25 p.m.

Thursday June 28th, 2012

Football fans will now have 10 extra minutes to tinker with their remaining fantasy lineup.

The NFL has announced it will move all games starting at 4:15 p.m. ET to 4:25 p.m.

The move is to eliminate overlap for doubleheader games on FOX and CBS. All non-doubleheader games, otherwise known as regionally televised games, will still begin at 4:05. Forty-four games between the 2009-2011 seasons required part of the audience to be switched to a mandatory doubleheader game, a study conducted by the NFL showed. With an additional 10 minutes, that number will be sliced by 66 percent.
