Mike Olt debut: Rangers prospect singles in first major-league at-bat

Elite 3B prospect Mike Olt, who was called up by the Texas Rangers on Wednesday night, had a hit in his first major-league at-bat on Thursday. Olt lined a single to left off Los Angeles Angels lefthander C.J. Wilson in the second inning, coming around to score four batters later.

Olt is actually playing first base in Thursday's game, and will spend most of his time with the big club at that position and DH. The Rangers already have Adrian Beltre at third, although manager Ron Washington did say that Olt could play third if Beltre serves as DH.
