Ben Francisco is traded for third time in nine months, this time to Rays

Now this is the definition of journeyman: Outfielder Ben Francisco was traded from the Houston Astros to the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday evening. The trade is notable for only one reason: It's the third time that Francisco has been dealt in the last nine months.

The 30-year-old, who is hitting .244 with two home runs in 135 at-bats in 2012, spent two-and-a-half seasons in Philadelphia before being dealt last December to the Toronto Blue Jays. After just 27 games in a Jays uniform, Francisco was sent on July 20 to the Astros. Now he is on the move again.
