Wake Forest suspends six players, including four starters for Maryland game

Wake Forest suspended six players on Friday, including four starters for Saturday's game against Maryland for a violation of team rules, reports CBSSports.com.The six players out are starting cornerback Merrill Noel, starting safety Daniel Mack, starting middle linebacker and leading tackler Mike Olson, starting guard Frank Souza, backup running back Deandre Martin and Airyn Willis, a reserve receiver. 

"I'm disappointed that some of our kids made poor decisions," Wake Forest coach Jim Grobe said in a statement."These are good kids who just need to learn from their mistakes."

All players will be eligible for reinstatement prior to the team's game against Virginia on Oct. 20. Wake Forest (3-2, 1-2 ACC) is coming off a 34-27 loss to Duke last Saturday.
