Manti Te'o provides voicemails from "Lennay Kekua"

The New York Daily News reported Thursday that Ronaiah Tuiasosopo, the man behind Manti Te'o's fake girlfriend "Lennay Kekua," played the role of the female that Te'o said he spoke to for hours on the phone.

Now, the website for Katie Couric's television show has released three voicemails left by "Kekua" for Te'o. The messages were provided by Te'o. TMZ has posted audio of the messages.

In one message, the voice says, "Hey babe, I’m just calling to say goodnight. I love you. I know that you’re probably doing homework or you’re with the boys…But I do want to say I love you and goodnight. I’ll be OK tonight. I’ll do my best…I love you so much. Sweet dreams."

The message is allegedly from Sept. 11, the day "Kekua" claimed to have been released from the hospital.

The sound of the voice on the messages has generated interest from media members on Twitter.
